Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) for Workers
NOTE: Not currently available
BC's construction industry is one of the most hazardous to work in. To reduce accidents and injuries, employers must ensure that all workers are trained in basic workplace safety. This CSTS course is delivered via an interactive computer program which is easy to use - it is the only constructions safety training that is endorsed by the Construction Safety Association of BC (ask about the CSABC STAR COR Program - your company could receive a 5% rebate on its WCB annual base assessment).
CSTS has been customized for BC in consultation with WCB, and covers 12 topics:

- Workplace Hazards
- Mobile Equipment
- Excavating & Trenching
- Emergency Response
- Working with Chemicals
- Environmental Factors
- Personal Physical Care
- Housekeeping
- Ladders & Scaffolding
- Personal Protective Equipment
For students (employees and potential employees in the construction industry), CSTS is available at any time the Campus is open and will give you an advantage in the construction job market.
